Why Most Fat Burners Are Crap!

Under Fat Loss
We all want an easy and convenient way to drop body fat and if we can get it in the form of a pill, we’ll take it. In this world of burgers and fries, pizza delivery and drive-thru windows, the quick fix is desired because it offers the most convenient route to our destination, The Land of Less Body Fat. But buyer beware! Most fat burners are crap and there are several reasons why. When you choose a fat burner, you want to insure you are not falling into a trap, by avoiding fat burners with the following side effects:
The Jitters
Many fat burners pump us full of caffeine. Too much caffeine can make us feel like Mexican jumping beans, giving us the jitters. If you’ve never had the jitters, imagine sitting quietly and all of a sudden your body parts start to shake or tremble for no apparent reason. Everyone acts differently with the jitters but if a fat burner has to bounce us around to be effective, is it really worth it?
Raises the Metabolism only Temporarily
Hey, I’m all for raising the metabolism by swallowing a pill if that is all it took. The problem is that most fat burners temporarily raise your metabolism but when you cycle off of the fat burner your metabolism drops again, possibly lower than it was before. Since we tend to cycle on and off fat burners, you can imagine the yo-yo effect going on in your body with your metabolism rising up and down. Not only does this confuse the body, but it can tend to keep the metabolism at a low rate after it’s all said and done.
Dangerous Ingredients
Let’s face it, more than a few fat burners compromise our health by injecting junk ingredients that can cause kidney damage, heart palpitations, dizziness, and lack of energy. Ephedra for example has been linked to heart attacks and was even banned for being too dangerous. We have to live with our kidneys and liver people so wouldn’t it be wise to exercise caution when we pop a pill? Ingesting harmful ingredients into our bodies to gain a small advantage on the battle of the bulge is hardly my idea of sound judgment…unless you don’t care whether or not you are on a dialysis machine the rest of your life.
All That Hype!
Do you like ingesting fillers with your fat burner? Well that’s what most fat burners have to offer…a little bit of the good stuff but not substantial enough to make a difference on lowering body fat. It’s the equivalent of eating a diet coke with 10,000 calories of junk food. That diet coke is not going to make much of a difference, is it? So what if it has a bit of an effective ingredient?
